These stories have all appeared in printzines more than two years ago.
- Nocturne, Awakenings 7, May 2001
2002 Fan Q Honorable Mention
In which we learn why Dietrich didn't want Harris to move out, and why Harris was so angry when Dietrich saved his life.
"Suppose I didn't keep you at arm's length," said Dietrich. "Then what might happen?"
Harris put both hands on Dietrich's shoulders. "Nothing would happen. Especially not this," he whispered, leaning ever-so-slightly forward.
- On and Off, Southern Hospitality, August 2001
In which Harris and Dietrich, who are not getting along, have to go undercover in a gay bar."Why did we ever--" Harris caught himself and started over. "Why aren't we... Arthur, why are we 'off' and not 'on'?"
Dietrich knew what that stumbling sincerity had cost Harris, and chose to respect it with an honest guess. "Because we can't stand each other?"- In Flamingo Delicto, ZebraCon 2001 Program Book; reprinted by permission in Diverse Doings 9, May 2002

LOTR Stories
All stories are bookverse, Legolas/Gimli. They are meant to be read in order. They have appeared on a number of listservs, including TolkienSlash and Axe_Bow, and are also available on Nindaiwe, Library of Moria, and the TolkienSlash archive. If you like Legolas and Gimli together, be sure to visit the Axe and Bow Archive, a marvelous site dedicated to the Legolas-Gimli relationship in all its aspects.
- After Helm's Deep
A missing scene set just after the Battle of the Hornburg.
- After Pelennor
A missing scene set just after the Battle of the Pelennor Fields; a sequel to "After Helm's Deep."
One of Gimli's lines was inspired by a passage from Virgil's Aeneid:Nisus ait, "Dine hunc ardorem mentibus addunt,
Euryale, an sua cuique deus fit dira cupido?"
Nisus said, "Do the gods place this fire in my soul,
Euryalus, or does each man's own fierce desire become his god?"
- Post-Post-Pelennor
A sequel of sorts to "After Pelennor;" it picks up immediately where that story leaves off, but in a very different vein. Namely, a silly one!
- The Wedding Planner
A drabble (short-short story in exactly 100 words) set just before the marriage of Aragorn and Arwen.
Emergency! Stories
All of these stories have appeared on the JohnnyLovesRoyFic listserv except "Modus Moriendi," which appeared on EmergencyXFanfic.
Johnny/Chet
Johnny/Roy
- A Wink is as Good as a Nod
Johnny and Chet's first time.
- 101 Positions in 20 Minutes
My response to a challenge issued by PEJA, listmom of JohnnyLovesRoy (and many other lists)!
- Captain Cap
This was one of the 10 Bizarre Emergency! Plots suggested by a friend of the Fairy Queen--I was so enchanted with the premise that I went ahead and wrote a story around it!
The original description reads:
4) Cap becomes hero of the hour after saving the President's life. Fame goes to his head and he quits his job, buys an impossibly tight spandex outfit, and becomes "Captain Cap, Super Hero".
- Bambi, Kitten, Rainbow, and the Turkey
Another "challenge" story: this time the mission, should one choose to accept it, was to write a story that incorporated a frozen turkey, a feather duster, a silk scarf, and handcuffs. How could I possibly turn it down?
- Modus Moriendi
A brief alternate-universe piece based on an infamous scene from "Emergency's Greatest Rescues;" a death scene that insisted on being written despite the author's reluctance.
Johnny/Brice
- Anniversary
Not part of the Johnny/Chet universe above, this is a serious story about Johnny and Roy.
- Not the Same Old Thing
A story in a universe of its own! I was inspired to write this after a friend plaintively lamented the dearth of Brice slash.
Snappies
Thanks to the Fairy Queen, we have screen captures of Johnny and Chet! The Fairy Queen's Johnny/Roy stories are available on the Wonderful World of Make-Believe archive under the Emergency! slash category.
