Summary: Cain protests one of Glitch's projects.
Author's note: Response to the tinman100 challenge "too long."
"You're kidding!" Cain exclaimed. "That thing has got to be at least ten inches long!"
Glitch nodded happily, brandishing his purchase. "It's the largest size they sell locally. Although I hear they have bigger ones in Central City."
"You really don't expect to get that all the way in, do you? Look at the diameter!"
"Just relax, will you? Sometimes it's like you really are all made out of tin."
Cain sulked. "It's not going to fit. I can tell you that now."
"Just get down on your hands and knees, would you?"
Cain complied, mumbling, "You could be doing this all by yourself, you know."
"But it's a lot more awkward with just one person," said Glitch. "And not as much fun."
A few minutes went by, punctuated by, "Mmf! Ow! Watch it!" and finally, "Oh, yeah."
"Aha!" Glitch said triumphantly. "I told you it would go in!"
Cain sighed. "You're right." He patted the electronic orrery, which had resumed its normal appearance now that the hard-to-reach light in the back was no longer flickering. "But why can't you let the maintenance workers change your fluorescent bulbs?"
"Let them into my laboratory? You've got to be kidding," said Glitch.
