The Witch laughed as DG sang that ridiculous nursery song about the two little princesses. What did she hope to accomplish by such foolishness?

She was still laughing as DG held out her hand to Azkadellia. How could such a simple gesture have any effect at all? How could two little princesses holding hands thwart her carefully-laid plans for plunging the O.Z into eternal darkness?

Floors below her, she knew her servants were taking care of that ragtag band of upstarts who imagined they could destroy her machine.

Then Azkadellia reached out her hand, and the Witch laughed no more.
